"Win Buffet" in Alexandria is a pretty large buffet with a lot of variety, including, if I remember correctly, some great buttered potatoes. It's on route 236 and not too far from Annandale. The # is 703-813-6388 and the address is 6244 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, VA 22312.
Harvest Moon restaurant in Falls Church has a great buffet. Reliable quality and variety, I think they have both lunch and dinner 7 days a week (call to confirm this!) Address on google. I go here a few times a year, when I get the chance. Large restaurant with frequent banquets and weddings. Phone # is 703-573-6000 and the address is 7260 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church 22042.
